Day 4: All book pages, position 4.

Day 3: All book pages, position 3.

Day 2: All book pages, position 2. In our tests, the top and bottom positions in this sidebar performed marginally better than the middle two, sort of like adverbs in a sentence - slightly more effective at the beginning or end. But that only holds true if you eliminate the outliers. Many factors can influence a reader's attention. If three of the book covers next to you are dark and stormy, and yours is all bright sunny day, you'll stand out - and vice versa.

Day 1: We start your book on our most visited group of pages: the book pages.

Every book on our site has a page, and you're on every one of them.

Strategy: There's only so many times you can post a link to your book, and we know you don't want to spam your audience, so here's an idea we've seen used effectively. Tweet/Share a link to any book on our site, your ad will be there. Pick your favorite or choose one which will interest your followers.

For example:

  • I know it's just coincidence, but it's still a tiny thrill to see my book on the same page with Stephen King! (link)
  • Oh, I loved this book! (link)
  • Um... I dunno. This is hard, dreaming up tweets....
