Corporations will eventually make the East India Company look like a taco stand. . .
Jacob Ness is in charge of protection for the CEO of SepiaCorp, one of the biggest megacorporations of the twenty-first century. Usually it’s a boring job, but today, shots will be fired.
The CEO is sped off to the hospital, and the investigation begins. The shooter is already dead, and a number of questions hover above the bloody scene at the local library. Something is off. The CEO puts his most trusted bodyguard, Jacob, in charge of unearthing any clues that the local police, also employed by SepiaCorp, may have missed.
As Jacob digs deeper into the Kennedy-style assassination, he unearths questionable information about his company, his boss, and a looming threat that could change the balance of world power forever. His clean record isn’t going to help him figure out who’s trying to kill the CEO. He’ll have to get a little dirty, possibly a little bloody, in order to piece together the clues in time, before global corporations decide to up their game and start a new era in human history with a bang.
