“The blurb says it all — Kevin Tinto writes in the tradition of a few of the world’s most popular thriller masters: Matthew Reilly, Preston & Child, and James Rollins.
In ICE, an archaeological discovery in an abandoned Native American cliff ruin leads the heroes to … deepest Antarctica. Fresh ideas and a lightning escapist read.”

“California author Kevin Tinto writes for the San Francisco Chronicle, Reno Gazette Journal, Bike Transamerica, Scuba Diver Magazine, and is Editor-In-Chief of […]. The other half of his qualification as a writer of outdoor adventure is attributed to his passion for mountaineering, skiing, scuba and free diver, Private Pilot and adventurer. He knows his territory and writes it well.
Kevin opens his novel with a telling Prologue that visits the source of the all-important crystals that serve as the guide through this mystery thriller. The place – New Mexico where we encounter a young warrior girl – ‘K’aalógii wondered whether her father might be watching her from the ancestral lands, the Navajo place of origin to which all dead returned. If so, she knew he’d be both proud of and terrified for his daughter, for she had chosen to face “them” with a courageous heart and sharp spear.’And from this reenactment of origin of the crystals flows the exciting story Kevin spins and that is well described in this synopsis.
It is rare that an author can intertwine archeological history with politics but Kevin has done a magnificent job of resolving these polar extremes. His writing is penetrating and propulsive and in Leah Andrews and Jack Hobson he has create an irresistible pair of sleuths whose future adventures promise the rise of a cinema worth team.
